Fairbanks Solar Energy Center
The Fairbanks Solar Energy Center is a 250 megawatt (MW) solar energy generation facility in Sullivan County, Indiana. The project is an opportunity to invest in the local economy of Sullivan County and create jobs, all while generating clean, American-made energy.
At peak construction, the Fairbanks Solar project is expected to employ up to 250 people. After construction, the project will employ approximately 3 permanent operations and maintenance (O&M) staff.
$3.5 million or more will be invested directly into the Sullivan County economy through taxes, landowner payments, and wages and benefits every year. Over $125 million in local taxes and landowner payments over the expected project life.
Invenergy has completed development on 4 sustainable energy projects in Indiana to date. These projects will inject millions of dollars into local economies and provide 775 megawatts of clean energy to Indiana and our nation.
